One of the fun products that came in the Megan box was the Berrisom Oops! My Lip Tint Pack. Yes, this is the one where you apply onto your lips, wait, and peel it off in hopes that it will tint your lips evenly, and nicely. There are a lot of mixed reviews about this product – you either hate it or you love it. Have you guys tried it before? What did you think of this product? I’ve always wanted to try a peeling tint, so I’m really happy this came with the Megan box.

The shade that came in the Megan Box is called Sexy Red! At first, I wasn’t too sure about this shade, since it looks pretty dark – but I was pleasantly surprised on how it turned out.
Total Rating out of 5: 4
Quickie (for people like me who look things up at the store)
Not drying, long-lasting, waterproof, smudgeproof, Sexy Red is a nice shade
Takes time to apply, can get messy, not completely transfer-free (at least I’m not convinced on that part)
Will I buy it again
Yes, if I run out and I can’t find something similar to try out to compare. But I will only repurchase Sexy Red (I really like this shade)

The product comes in a cardboard box, with the product’s name, shade, description, etc. all in Korean. The lip tint comes in a tube and the lid is supposed to indicate the colour of the shade. Sexy Red is a darker shade of red (blood red) that is almost close to burgundy but not quite there. I think the colour closely matches to what your lips would look like if you actually DID bite it.
The tube is very easy to hold, but I had some problems trying to squeeze and apply the product at the same time because I didn’t want to make a huge mess, and with this lip tint, it can get reallly messy.
The tube is sealed with a sticker (which I didn’t notice before turning the cap). The shape of the applicator is the ones you would find on certain lip glosses or lip balms – it’s plastic and mimics the shape of a regular lipstick, except it is much thinner and more narrow at the tip. At the centre of the applicator is where all the product comes out (oh goody!).

Saying that this is easy to apply is an overstatement. It is NOT – at least I didn’t think so. It was hard because I didn’t want to apply too thick of a layer, and I could not coordinate squeezing the product out and applying it at the same time. If you squeeze out too much, a lot of it ends up spilling out of the tube instead of staying put at the top since it’s quite liquidy. I would recommend applying two layers – it makes it easier to peel off, and the colour comes out nicer! It has quite a nice scent to it, and was surprisingly cooling.
While you wait for this lip tint to dry, don’t put your lips together because they’ll stick to each other when the tint is wet. On Memebox, it says to wait 5-10 minutes – I wanted for 8 minutes and then I touched my lips lightly to make sure nothing was wet/sticking to my fingers. When its dry, you can sort of tell – your lips feel a bit tighter compared to before applying (kind of like applying a clay mask) but not as drying/stiff.
When you peel it, it might take a few tries before you manage to grab a piece of the tint that’s connected to most of the lips. I would suggest peeling it slowly! It might sting a bit if you peel it too fast because you are peeling something sticky off your lips after all. After peeling off the entire thing, there will still be a bit of the tint left on your lips, so just rinse it lightly with water and pat gently! That will get rid of most of the excess bits in the cracks. (I spent so many hours trying to figure how to make gifs lol struggles.)
Sweet floral scent that I can’t quite put my finger on what it is.. smells nice though
The colour comes out to be red-magenta, but when you apply the tint its much darker and looks close to a red-burgundy. I felt like it tinted my lips in a natural way. I applied more layers on the insides of my lips because I like going for that gradient lip look. I think this tint works really well for that since you can control how dark the tint gets with the number of layers you use. But it only gets dark up to a certain point!
This tint is non-transferable up to a certain point as well. I noticed that when you eat/drink it fades slightly. It didn’t last through the entire day for me. I would say the longest amount of time that it will last before completely disappearing is roughly 4-5 hours, which is pretty good! I don’t think it’s completely transfer-free since a bit of it disappears each time every time I eat/drink. It is kind of waterproof aside from eating/drinking and definitely does not smudge!
The Berrisom Oops! My Lip Tint Pack is not totally gimmicky. It does perform and delivers its promise (aside from being transfer-free) of being waterproof, smudgeproof and long-lasting. Since you lose a bit of the tint while drinking and eating, I did not give it 5 out of 5 because it promises to be transfer-free but it isn’t. It has strong lasting power and is fun to use, but I went through a million kinds of thoughts the first time I tried it. When I saw it dry into a mess since I was horrible at applying it, I was worried about how it would look – but it turned out quite nice! I recommend 2 layers to get its full colour, and 1 layer if you just want a light tint (but 1 layer won’t last as long). Waiting for it to dry and trying to peel it off might not be fun for some people who just want an easy lipstick/tint to apply. An alternative is to apply this before starting your entire makeup routine, and peeling it off when you’re done. I really liked this product, it’s a fun lip tint to play with and try out when you’re bored of just applying lipstick/tints normally!
