A couple days ago, one of my lovely friends gave me this product to test out for her! Thank you Shana <3 She said that this 3 Step Kit Pig Nose Mask Pack is really popular in Korea, even more popular than the Holika Holika one. I am not a huuge fan of these 3 Step Kits because of the 2nd step – the pore strip, BUT! I said I’d try it for her and let her know my thoughts so I will be doing this kit on myself. I previously did a review on the Holika Holika 3 Step Kit using it on the namjachingu because his nose is more strawberry than mine, and it didn’t really work that well for me! Let’s goooo~
Warning: this is a long post, so if you want to skip right to the results and my thoughts scroll all the way down to the bottom!

Before writing this, I was looking to see if I could find a review on any other blogs on this ultra cute 3 Step Kit. I was only able to find one from StyleKorean. So I will try to be as detailed as I possibly can for my first impressions on this!

Effective, Tightens, Opens up pores, Has a heating effect (which didn’t work for me), Step 03 is not gel so its easier to apply, lives up to the expectations – I now understand the hype in Korea for this!
Step 01 heating did not work for me, May become less effective over time (did not check when it expires, just my presumptions), time consuming

Description from StyleKorean & Amazon
Each 3 Step Kit comes in a really cute piggy packaging, with dotted lines, and an indent between each step, so you can have an easier time separating them. The only English that’s helpful on this packaging is the front that indicates the name of each step, and the back where it teaches you how to use this kit. I had a bit of trouble separating the steps, I ended up ripping into Step 03 while trying to split Step 02 and Step 03 – beware!
The back of the product shows you the steps, and the how-to of applying this product. It even has cute pictures that come along with it, but I don’t think that really helps? I mean everything is going on your nose anyways. What I liked was that the steps were also in English (probably the only English that was on this product).
Step 01: After completing the first step of your skin care routine (cleansing), stick the sheet onto your nose and remove after 15-20 minutes. Wipe off the excess/waste.
My Step 01 did not heat up as it was supposed to – I wonder if I was supposed to do anything before it, or if it just loses its effect over time. I was a bit sad I didn’t get to experience the heating part. This signalled to me that the product can’t be kept around for too, too long or else it won’t be as effective.
My nose after Step 01 – I noticed that some of my pores were more visible than before, even though I didn’t get the heating effect. I really wish mine heated up, so I could see how much bigger my pores would get.
Step 02: After finishing Step 01, apply water on nose (ie soak your nose with as much water as possible), dry your hands and remove the pore strip from the clear film. Apply the sheet, and leave on for 10-15 minutes (I did it for 10 minutes). Make sure that the sheet is completely dry. Remove SLOWLY from one edge to the other. It will hurt.
When I peeled it off I pressed down on my skin while lifting the strip so that it won’t pull my skin as much. It also helps with the pain hahaha..
The results after Step 02! It hurt sooo much – I have low pain tolerance. This one I actually found to be more effective on my compared to the Holika Holika Pig Nose Clear Blackhead 3-Step Kit. Maybe the Step 01 was more effective? Or I just accumulated tons of blackheads! I haven’t done these in a while so it would make sense too.
The gunk that it got from my nose was unreal too. It cleared up most of the blackheads that were on the tip of my nose. Does anyone else find it fascinating to look at your pore strips after using them to see how much gunk it extracted? I do..
Step 03: After Step 02, apply the final step which tightens your pores. This is another sheet mask for your nose. Leave on your nose for 5 – 10 minutes. Lightly pat the remaining essence so that it gets absorbed.
This step looks really funky on my nose. It’s comparable bigger than the sheet from Step 01, which I like because it gives your nose a wider coverage for tightening opportunities. The shape of the sheet reminds me of an elephant nose..super cute, but it has nothing to do with pigs??!
I thought Step 03 tightened a lot better compared to the Holika Holika one, and the sheet is cotton instead of gel, making it way easier to apply and stay on your nose. Of course, remember to apply whatever tightening products you can for the next couple of days, because your nose will be sensitive after using pore strips!
Eep! I will let the before and after pictures speak for themselves – but this is amazing. It worked really well! This process is time consuming, and Step 02 will definitely hurt, but wow!
I give this 4/5 because it’s super effective. The only reason why I won’t give it a 5 is because when I used Step 01, my sheet did not heat up. This made me speculate whether or not this can be stored for a long period of time, since there are signs of it being less effective/not working. Besides that, it is an awesome and cute product – but still time consuming! I really love how you can see the results right away, and that the tightening part really makes your pores look slightly smaller. Remember to take care of your nose area after using these though, because Step 02 does take quite a toll on your skin. I would only use these once a week or once every two weeks since anything that you peel from your skin causes damage and stretching of the skin.
If you’re looking for something that will take care of your blackheads, I would definitely recommend trying this out – if you can find a place to buy it! Make sure you’re not allergic to any fruit/plant extracts and check the ingredients before trying new things.
