Thank you LEADERS USA for sending these to me in exchange for my honest review! I know I recently made a post on my current cleansers, but these were sent to me after I made my post T_T – but I will be including how I will be using this product/when I will be using, in hopes that it will help someone haha ; u ;! The product that was sent to me is the LABOTICA Argan Oil Deep Cleansing Tissue, which is now available for sale at Ulta Beauty. As far as cleansing tissues go, I’m not a huge fan of them – but they are great when I feel lazy about doing my skincare routine. But, I’ve only tried one other cleansing tissue which are the Simple Kind To Skin Cleansing Wipes so let’s see how this one compares!

Total out of 5: 4.2/5
Quickie (for people like me who look things up at the store)
- Refreshing, feels nice
- Can exfoliate (use the side with the bumps)
- Can remove some makeup, but would not suggest to use as makeup remover (probably use it as a second cleansing step, or a cleanser in the morning)
- Skin feels clean, hydrated and smooth
- Skin feels a little tingly after using it, might be irritation from using the cloth -> but very typical of cleansing wipes? Doesn’t hurt as bad as the other ones that I used to use. (or maybe Papaya Extract – which is what @emilysdaily_gram suspects
- Cannot remove ALL makeup
Will I buy it
The only other cleansing wipes I have used were the SIMPLE Kind To Skin Cleansing Wipes, and I have to say I liked these ones a lot more because they’re multi-function (can exfoliate), and has natural Argan Oil.
Price (Subject to change)
8.50USD from Ulta Beauty for 50 tissues, which is a better deal than the SIMPLE wipes which is (5.99USD for 25 tissues)
Claims/ Description of this product
Perfect Make up removing, deep cleansing tissues with Argan Oil
From the packaging
While removing makeup and deep cleansing, this cleansing tissue is also supposed to give a gentle cleanse-off, nourish and provide intense hydration to the skin and has natural ingredients such as Argan Oil.
The cleansing wipes come in any typical cleansing wipe packaging that you would expect, except that it has a lid and underneath the lid there is a sticker that is supposed to protect the tissues and prevent them from drying out.
The one thing about using stickers to protect the cleansing wipes, is that I feel kind of paranoid that if I don’t use the wipes fast enough they’ll eventually dry out! I’m not sure what other possible ways are there to better “protect” these wipes – at least there’s a small lid (which kind of provides another layer of protection??)
I am also incredibly horrible at working out this pull out tissue type of products – I don’t want the tissue underneath it to come out, but it always does! I end up stuffing the tissue back into the packaging so I can put the sticker back on.
Water, Propylene Glycol, Glycerin, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil(500ppm), Carica Papaya (Papaya) Fruit Extract, Bupleurum Falcatum Root Extract, Chaenomeles Sinensis Fruit Extract, Ficus Carica (Fig) Fruit Extract, Polysorbate 20, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Tocopheryl Acetate, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Citric Acid, Cocamidopropyl PG-Dimonium Chloride Phosphate, Caprylyl Glycol, Penylene Glycol, Hexanediol, Sodium Benzoate, Disodium EDTA, Fragrance
from the packaging (yas, ya girl literally typed it all out) – there may be some typos!
Here is the CosDNA analysis. I looked up Papaya extract because it’s possible that it’s what gives me that tingly feeling after using the cleansing wipes. I’ve also marked the ingredients that were a 3+ in terms of safety in red(because this product has no ingredients that raise flags for acne/irritation) on CosDNA. Please remember that if you’re allergic/sensitive to any ingredients, that you either avoid it or do patch tests to make sure that it’s okay for your skinsies!
The Papaya fruit extract is pretty high up in the ingredients list – it’s a non-abrasive exfoliant often used help remove impurities and dead skin cells.
For my friends that don’t like scented products – this is most definitely a scented product. And frankly for me, it has a really nice scent – kind of fruity and fresh.
There are two sides to this cleansing wipe: a smooth side and a side with bumps.
I wasn’t too sure whether or not the side with bumps were meant for exfoliation at first – because the COSRX pimple pads also use the bumpy side as an gentle physical sort of exfoliation. BUT, fear not, because I asked LEADERS about it, and they told me that yes, the bumpy side is to help provide gentle exfoliation and to help with removing dead skin cells, impurities, dirt etc.
Let’s get through effectiveness first, so when I explain how I decided to use this, and when I use this in my routine – it’ll hopefully make more sense! One of the claims is that this product can remove make up (face make-up only! Don’t put this near your eyes please!), so I tested it out on my NATURE REPUBLIC Snail BB Cream and my ETUDE HOUSE Play 101 Stick, both of which I use most often.
Products used for swatching:
- NATURE REPUBLIC Snail Solution BB Cream (Shade #13)
- ETUDE HOUSE Play 101 Stick Contour Duo
I tested swatched them on my arm and tried to see how much of the two products this cleansing wipe could actually remove. So here is the before:
After! The lighting changed a bit (boo – sorry it’s hard to get consistent lighting when the weather changes from sunshine to rain in less than 10 seconds T_T #raincouver).
You can see that it removed most of it, but not all of it and left a slight tint! So I wouldn’t be using this as the sole cleansing step of a routine, unless it’s in the morning.
Makeup on Face
Fear not, I also tested this on my face with face make up, and it was able to remove quite a bit of my foundation. However, I wouldn’t use this as my sole cleanser/makeup remover because it doesn’t remove everything completely. I would go in with a 2nd cleanser just to make sure there’s absolutely no makeup left at all.
It did pick up mainly my BB Cushion, and my eyebrows (which is pretty much all I ever do besides my eyes), but you could also see that there’s still a faint amount leftover from the BB cushion (sorry for awkward lighting).
In the Morning
Oh so this, this is the part I’m excited about. I used the cleansing wipe in the morning, in place of my usuals: water or SON&PARK Beauty Water. Okay, so usually when I use the SON&PARK Beauty Water, my cotton pads are gunky and gross (because no matter how much we think water will clean out our faces in the morning, there’s still dirt, impurities and stuff that we pick up from our pillows/bed sheets).
After using the cleansing wipe, I rinsed my face with water and then I put some SON&PARK Beauty Water on a cotton pad to test out and see if I had any gunky stuff leftover that the cleansing wipe couldn’t pick up.
And there were noneeeeee! So I figured, this would also work well as a morning type of cleanser – or if you don’t wear makeup, this can also work well as a refresher during the day!
One thing I did notice after using these wipes, however, was that while my skin felt smooth and soft, my face would feel tingly. I wasn’t alone though! @emilysdaily_gram on instagram also felt a slight burn, and she suspects that it’s from the papaya extract. I’m no ingredient expert, so I’m not too sure what causes that tingly feeling, but it does go away.
My skin felt refreshed and smooth after using the cleansing wipe, and not dry at all. I think this has to due with the Argan oil, which is nice!
The packaging suggests to: take out one tissue and gently remove make up – rinse off with warm water.
BUT! I think there are two options/ways to use this cleansing wipe based on its texture (that I mentioned above).
- If it is a day where you would like to exfoliate your skin, then you can choose to use the bumpy side
- If it is a day where all you want to do is just a quick cleanse, then you can choose to use the non-bumpy side
Personally, if I were to exfoliate (using the bumpy side), I would typically use these wipes at night. If I wanted to use this cleanser in the morning, then I would use the non-bumpy side. I tried rinsing my face after using the tissue to see if it would help with the tingling, but not really. My skin did feel soft/smooth after rinsing so that’s a plus (so I would probably rinse after using this wipes more often).
To be honest, I wasn’t sure if I would like these cleansing wipes – because I’m not really a huge fan of using cleansing wipes. But this is actually something I wouldn’t mind going out and purchasing because it’s convenient, and much cheaper than the SON&PARK Beauty Water that I use in the mornings. I wish stores in Canada start to carry these, otherwise I’d have to trek out pretty far to buy these :( (well, there’s always online shopping!). Hehe, fun fact: I also gave these to the bf, and he quite likes them as well because it doesn’t require him to use water to wash his face lmao.
