Thank you LEADERS USA for sending these in exchange for my honest review! Originally, I was going to put both the Argan Oil Cleansing Tissue in the same post but I had so much that I wanted to go over in that one. So, I decided to make a separate post for this one! The product that I will be reviewing is another one of their cleansing tissues – except this one is made for the lip and eyes. It’s called the LEADERS LABOTICA Green Tea Lip&Eye Point Remover Cleansing Tissue! I’ve used eye makeup removers before that were quite similar to this kind of product but those weren’t for me..so will I like these ones?

Total out of 5: 4.5/5
Quickie (for people like me who look things up at the store)
- Smells nice! (well, at least I like the scent)
- Tissue has soft cotton texture
- Gentle, no irritation after using it
- Removes 99% of the eye/lip makeup – the other 1% is the tint (only a teeny amount of tint is leftover when using this, which is still pretty amazing)
- It may seem a bit pricey compared to getting a jar of Eye&Lip Makeup (eg. Aritaum’s for $10CAD, where you get 120mL and can control the amount of product you use)
- Time? It suggests to leave it on the eyes/lips for 5 minutes so that might turn some people off
Will I buy it?
It’s definitely something I will keep an eye out for (don’t think it’s available in Canada just yet). It’s more convenient compared to eye&lip remover oils, because all the oil is soaked onto one pad which can be thrown away after one use.
Price (Subject to change)
$6USD at Ulta Beauty for 30 sheets (25g total) – $0.20/sheet (You would use at most 2 sheets at a time, if eye/lip makeup isn’t too heavy then one sheet would suffice).
I would assume that I can get through one pack from roughly 30 uses or less.
Claims/ Description of this product
Infused with green tea extract, these round cleansing tissues from Leaders gently remove makeup in the sensitive areas around the eyes and lips. This non-irritating formula provides deep cleansing and hydration for the areas that need it most!from Ulta Beauty
Similar to the Argan Oil Deep Cleansing Tissues, the Lip&Eye Point Remover Cleansing Tissues come in a similar sort of packaging. Except, that it’s 10x smaller and that it doesn’t have a lid.
Also, unlike the Argan Oil Cleansing Tissues, this only has a single sticker protecting the sheets from drying out. Paranoid me gets worried about these things. I don’t have as much trouble having to stuff these back into the package though because they’re laid down one on top of each other, whereas the Cleansing Tissues are packed like the tissues in a tissue box.
Water, Mineral Oil, PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Sorbeth-30 Tetraoleate, Polysorbate 80, Glycerin, Tripropylene Glycol, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract (100ppm), Pyrus Malus (Apple) Fruit Extract, Brassica Oleracea Italica (Broccoli) Extract, Solanum Lycopersium (Tomato) Fruit Extract, Eucalyptus Globulus Leaf Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Citric Acid, Sodium Benzoate, Caprlyl Glycol, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oi, Citrus Grandis (Grapefruit Peel Oil), Citrus Aurantifolia (Lime) Oil, Citrus Limon (Lemon) Peel Oil, Pelargonium Graveolens Flower Oil
From the packaging
Here is the CosDNA. I marked the ingredients that have a 3+ in safety, or more than 0 in acne/irritation. I noticed that CosDNA gave Jojoba Seed Oil a 2 for acne and 0-2 for irritation. If you have any allergies/sensitive to any of those ingredients I would patch test/be careful when using this.
Jojoba Seed Oil – according to Paula’s Choice, this is an ingredient that’s great for dry skin but may potentially problems for oily/acne prone skin because it’s quite similar to the sebum that our skin produces.
Yes there is! It’s a mix of green tea plus something else. It actually reminds me of the KLAIRS Mid-Day Blue Sun Lotion smell.
The texture of the sheet is smooth on both sides. It is oily as well (far more oily than the Argan Oil Cleansing Tissues).
It has a soft cotton texture, that is much softer compared to the non-bumpy side of the Argan Oil Cleansing Tissues. The soft cotton makes it better and much more gentle when applying it on both the lips and eyes (or so I think). It’s even softer than most of the cotton pads that I have.
The shape of the tissue comes in a circle, which makes it easy to put on both the lips and eye. The packaging suggests to leave it on for 5 minutes, then gently wipe as you remove the pad from skin.
It is a little hard to get it to stick on completely since our faces aren’t completely flat, but regardless, it adheres quite well. What I do to make sure that it doesn’t fall off is to just lightly press it a few times once in a while.
Removing swatches on arm
To test this product, I chose my hard-to-remove makeup team. I swatched these ones on my arm and was pretty surprised with the results.
The products I used to test this Lip&Eye Point Remover (from right to left) are:
- A’PIEU Color Longwear Shadow Stick (BR01)
- ETUDE HOUSE Styling Eye Liner (03 Brown)
- KYLIE Matte Liquid Lipstick (Candy K)
- ETUDE HOUSE Dear Darling Water Tint (02 Cherry Ade)
- COVERGIRL Clump Crusher by Lashblast (Very Black)
I really like the size of these pads, and how they’re shaped in a circle – makes the application and use of this cleansing tissue much easier. It adheres well to the skin, but you can feel that it is a bit oily.
When I left the pad on my skin for a couple minutes, I was able to see the products on my arm start to seep through the pad/ being absorbed onto the pad (which was pretty cool).
I was so excited when I saw that the products were starting to seep through – holy cow, even some of my Lip&Eye make up removers don’t really do that (or maybe I’m not leaving them on long enough/ maybe it’s the cotton pads I’m using). And that’s not even the best part?
This is my arm after one swipe – it got rid of my A’PIEU! There were a few that were stubborn and stuck on, which were the lip products. The eye products came off really well. The shine is from the oil on the pad, even though it’s oily it’s not the heavy kind of oil but regardless I still wanted to wash it off.
The end result after wiping a few more times and rinsing with water? Only that very faint 1% remained! The amazing thing is that it removed most of the tint and only left a little left. And y’all know how hard those are to remove.
Before and after for the eyes
It wouldn’t be a review if I didn’t try these out on my eyes too right? It was pretty good I was able to get 1 use out of the pad and manage to wipe off makeup from both eyes – I didn’t have any intense eye makeup on (only eye shadow and mascara).
When I was removing it, I didn’t really have to rub to get a lot of it off – most of it was loosened up just by placing the tissue on top of the eyes, so I only had to swipe once. It felt refreshing, gentle and didn’t leave my eyes feeling too oily or uncomfortable. I rinsed my eyes with warm water afterwards though! (Sorry the photo is a bit blurry, I wasn’t able to get it to focus on my eyes no matter how many times I tried to take it T_T)
Before and after for lips
For my lips, I put on the KYLIE Matte Liquid Lipstick in Candy K, since matte lippies are pretty hard to remove. I left it on for 3-4 minutes because I was in a rush to leave, by then the product was already starting to stick onto the pad.
My lips didn’t feel like they were tugged at/rubbed at harshly after using the cleansing tissue. In fact, I didn’t really need to rub the lipstick off – I just had to wipe lightly and the product would come off. I did end up using an entire cleansing up though, on both sides! It was filled with the product haha, but my lips felt well hydrated and smooth after using the wipe and rinsing with water.
I’ve used Eye&Lip only cleasing wipes before, and they were always too oily for me. I can’t remember exactly which brand they’re from but they were kind of pricey (I used them when I was younger and had dance performances etc). This Green Tea Lip&Eye Point Remover isn’t super oily, and feels really refreshing when I put it on. Aside from having to wait the suggested 5 minutes (which I don’t think is necessary 1-3 minutes would suffice), this is pretty darn good. The more I think about it the more I like it because it’s convenient, hastle-free, gentle and does what it claims to do, I just wish I could get more than 15-30 uses out of this.
