*Note – this product PR gifted to me for review purposes from Wishtrend*
Every once in a while, I’ll think about the skincare products that I need to restock on. Toners are usually on my mind because I tend to go through these a lot faster compared to moisturizers, cleansers and serums. As a part of Wishtrend’s Affiliate program, I was able to pick out a few different products to try! One of the products I chose was the Dear Klairs Daily Skin Hydrating Water. I picked this because I haven’t seen this toner around as much as their Supple Preparation Toner.
Anyhoo! Wishtrend is currently looking for new affiliate members. I will share more details in this post along with the review of this toner!

Not that anyone was wondering why I was MIA – but for the past half year I’ve been dealing with contact dermatitis around my eyes. It’s been quite frustrating because I wasn’t able to play around with as much makeup products as I wanted to. I even had to cut down on my skincare routine and products to just using water. Yes. Just water. I glare at people when they tell me they only wash their face with water. But in order for my skin to heal and get better, I had to try a variety of topical prescribed creams since it’s been so long. It’s slowly getting better, but I’m still waiting for the patches to be fully healed before I get back into testing more and more products.

$27 USD for 500mL| Wishtrend
I wouldn’t say this is entirely affordable but for the price and size, it is definitely a good deal. If you do the math it’s $0.05 USD per mL and most toners on the market are at a much higher price point.
Quickie
The Good
- Affordable
- Refreshing, soothing and light
- Hydrates and preps skin for next skincare steps
- Claims to be formulated with mild ingredients which is supposed to cater to those with more sensitive skin
The Bad
- Pretty basic as a toner
- Doesn’t do too much in terms of improving the skin (sometimes toners can make a huge difference in ones routine, but this one doesn’t do much except for hydrate)
Will I buy this?
I would consider it, but when I think about the other toners that I’ve tried.. given the lack of benefits that this toner provides it pales in comparison to their Supple Preparation Facial Toner. However, I do like that it is minimal in its ingredients and can last quite some time (500mL!!!).

Claims/Description

- No viscosity, water-like hydrating toner
- Contains 45% of green tea water, calendula and coconut palm
- Can be used daily in any season
- Absorbs quickly
- Great for those who prefer a light and refreshing toner
Packaging

When you first open the toner, it has a little stub to show you that it hasn’t been opened before which is nice. This is the kind of bottle where you have to pour out but the opening is small enough to control the amount that you are trying to use.

Texture

-breathes- some of this spilled onto my cardboard for this shot.
It’s got a very watery texture compared to their viscous toner. It’s got a very slight viscous feel too it, but it’s not noticeable at first.
Application

Different methods to apply:
- Use a cotton pad soaked in the toner
- Layer the toner where you feel extra dry by pressing lightly with a cotton pad or the palm of your hand
Because of the texture of this toner, it feels incredibly light when you apply it. So you can definitely layer this during dryer/colder weather. It sets fairly quickly as well, so if you don’t want to spend too much time on your routine/toner this could be an area where your time can be reduced. (Time spent waiting for the toner/other products to set).
Effectiveness
When I think about effectiveness of a toner, you would generally expect to see your skin condition improve over time from introducing said toner into your routine. That being said, I didn’t see a huge difference when I introduced this product into my routine.
It also didn’t seem to maintain my current condition as when my skin breaks out, this isn’t really one of those products that can ‘save’ it. But I do like the minimum hydrating feel that it gives and it does help to an extent prep my skin for my masks/serums/etc. For the price, it is a good staple to have and can last quite a while if you’re trying to keep within a budget for skincare!
All about Wishtrend’s Affiliate Program
A few weeks ago, Wishtrend contacted me to share their Affiliate Program with you all! This is a program that I chose to be and have been a part of, partly because I love most products that they carry!
Their affiliate program got revamped a while ago and they’ve completely changed how commissions are earned and products are received. They’re also quite open to letting you host giveaways for your followers and are actually quite generous with the amount of products you can giveaway! I did one near end of January and they let me choose 3 winners to send 2 different products to.

They also have different tiers that you can work towards and try to achieve!

Go check it out if you’re a fellow blogger/instagrammer that’s looking for some affiliate programs to join!
