Yes – it is winter, but sunscreen is still important! We are exposed to UV everywhere, and when it comes to sunscreen, our goal is usually to prevent what could happen to our skin in the future! This post is part of my AXIS-Y review series and is in collaboration with them. If you are interested to know more about this product, keep on reading!

The Good
- NO FRAGRANCE/MILD FRAGRANCE – amazing?? I love how it does not have that weird sunscreen smell
- Light, no oily finish
- Lasts throughout the day without making skin even more oily than before (I’ve had it on since this morning and my skin doesn’t feel like it’s clogged up, heavy or anything
The Bad
- Leaves a slight white cast on my skin (my skin is not as tanned as it would be in the summer, so this could potentially leave a white cast for those who have a more tanned to darker skin tone)

Packaging

One thing that I really, really liked about this sunscreen is their nozzle. It has a narrow opening, which makes it easier to control how much sunscreen you’re squeezing out, whereas some of the sunscreens (Biore) you can’t really control the amount that you’re getting out because of the opening. I was impressed to see this as I haven’t seen this type of nozzle on sunscreens before! they’re usually cone shaped, but this one was quite different.

Texture

The sunscreen has a creamy texture, but it doesn’t have an oily finish or feel to it.
Application

One thing that I would say that I didn’t really like about this sunscreen was that it was just a little harder to spread than some of the more oily sunscreens (which is okay!). Just something to keep in mind if you are interested in purchasing this product. There is also a slight white cast (my skin lightened just a TEENY bit when I applied this product). It is not too obvious, but if you do have a more tanned skin tone this might be something you’d want to take into consideration!

Effectiveness

I really enjoyed using this sunscreen although the application is just a teeny more tedious compared to some other sunscreens that I have tried. What I really like about this is that the finish is not oily at all and as the day progresses, my skin doesn’t get more oily (rather it feels light and not clogged at all – which is quite nice!)
Overall, this is a sunscreen that I will keep on my list due to the lightweight finish and non-pore clogging effects. In terms of the white cast, I will need to keep seeing how this fairs during the summer time when my skin becomes more tanned. For the time being though, the white cast is not too obvious.
