Wishtrend recently launched a new brand called elmt! It’s supposed to be a “Skincare Unframed” brand. The brand is more formula driven and so their packaging is a lot more simple and minimalistic. I’m quite surprised that the packaging looks the way it does for this product. It’s pretty cool to see Wishtrend finally launch another brand – it’s been a while since they have done this. If you’re interested in seeing what these products are like, keep reading!

The Good
Skin Activating Solution & Skin Illuminating Solution
- Lightweight and easy to apply
- You can apply in multiple different ways
- No fragrance
- Hydrating
The Bad
Skin Activating Solution & Skin Illuminating Solution
- Need to apply after cleansing to get the best results (I found that when I used it after a toner or essence, it doesn’t do as much)
Will I buy this?
I don’t think I would purchase this! I think it’s a great lightweight product. Overall I did prefer the Skin Activating Solution over the Skin Illuminating Solution.

Packaging

The packaging is the same for both products. It’s in a glass bottle, with a label to identify what product it is. It’s quite simple and minimalistic, which is what I think they were trying to go for.

Texture
The texture for both products are also quite similar (it’s almost the same, but with different effects). It feels like a watery essence. So it’s watery, but still has a slight gel-like texture to it. It’s quite refreshing when you first apply it on the skin.
Application
There isn’t much to show in terms of the application, because it applies quite similarly to a watery toner/essence. It applies easily by gently patting onto skin. You can also use a cotton pad to apply this product, but I feel like I get more out of the product when I use my hands.
Effectiveness
Skin Activating Solution

I actually quite enjoyed this product and found it to be more hydrating compared to toners that I typically use. Especially when I use this after the shower, it’s quite noticeable that my skin doesn’t feel as dry if I didn’t finish my skin care routine right away. Yes – I’ve gotten a bit lazy with my skincare routine lately.. But! It’s been quite helpful in keeping my skin hydrated until I finish my routine before bed time.
Skin Illuminating Solution

While this product is also hydrating, I didn’t see as much of a difference in my skin in terms of being much brighter. I always find that it’s quite hard for brightening products to prove that they can brighten our skins. However, as a moisturizing toner, it’s not too bad. Plus, at this price point for the amount of product you get it’s quite a good deal since good toners can sometimes go for a lot more than this product!
