Approximately a month ago, I applied for Swanicoco’s 2nd round of SWANS aka SWANS2! I was lucky enough to get picked and my contact, May, curated a package based on the skin concerns that I sent in my application. They were extremely generous with the amount of products that they sent over – if you’re interested in seeing what came in my package check out my post on Instagram! Anyways, the first product that I will be reviewing from their package is The Bio Therapy 1st Essence. This essence can be categorized under “First Treatment Essences” because it mainly contains fermented ingredients.
SON & PARK Beauty Water is aesthetics. Really, I don’t know what the creators were thinking, but this product would look nice in any photo with a white background. It’s so simple. Anyways! This is the highly raved Beauty Water that many beauty gurus love. Of course there was that whole debacle with the original creators of SON & PARK and the company, so a lot of people boycotted the brand. Still, I wanted to give it a try and see why so many people loved it and if it was really as great as people claimed.
About 2 weeks ago, I received an email from Shir Lin from b.liv asking if I wanted to try out their product “off with those heads.” At first, I wasn’t sure – I’ve heard of b.liv before and have seen their price range (eep!). So with a bit of googling, turns out other beauty blogs have tried this product out before and have said that it really helped in reducing their blackheads (check out this one, if you’re curious). Shir Lin kindly DHL’d the product over to me and I received it without any problems. Glad I got it before winter and Christmas hit too!

A while back (and by awhile I mean more than half a year ago) I won a package from SooAe that contained 7 different sheet masks. I haven’t gotten around to using them because I overwhelmed myself with products – or well, I didn’t want to use them because there was only one of each – and I wanted my photos to look nice, but ya know what… I decided to just use my phone to take photos during my work trips since my free time is starting to slip away from me slowly. There won’t be as many ‘detailed’ photos or HQ photos, but I made sure to include the most important aspects of each mask into the review.
When our schedules get extremely busy, it can be hard to remember to take care of our skin. Work, extra-curriculars, school, everything can seem so much more important… until we start getting blemishes. Or at least that’s how it is for me. I need to constantly remind myself to exfoliate once a week, otherwise I won’t do it. Not all exfoliators are created equal. When I look for an exfoliator I make sure that it is not only gentle, but it actually does it’s job in helping get rid of those dead skin cells on the surface of the skin.
Before Korean Beauty blew up to what it is now, Japan was always known for their skincare. Heck, they’re pretty much awesome at making many things like technology, Anime, Manga etc. Anyways, I really wanted to get my hands on skincare other than KBeauty! So I did a bit of searching on Google, and I saw an interesting and affordable product. The Soy Milk Moisturising Lotion is actually a toner, but in Japan, toners are known as lotions (sometimes they’re also called toning lotions). But as you can see with my recent posts, I’m quite the sucker for toners.

What makes skincare so interesting is that different countries have different ways of utilizing ingredients and creating products. Recently, Jen from Beautibi was looking for testers for KinGirls and Unitouch masks, and I was lucky to be chosen as one of them! KinGirls and Unitouch are both under the same parent company, Gwo Chyang Biotech Co., Ltd., which is based in Taiwan and is dedicated to creating products that are free of preservatives. You can read a bit more about their parent company’s philosophies here. Beautibi always has unique brands in their stores, although I would say that these masks are on the more expensive side of the spectrum, averaging around $6 per mask. However, it’s nice to learn more and more about the different brands out there. Thank you Jen, Beautibi, KinGirls and Unitouch for this opportunity!
