*Note – this product PR gifted to me for review purposes from Wishtrend*
When I saw that there was a new cream coming out from By Wishtrend, I just had to sign up for the review list! The promotional materials made the By Wishtrend Pro-Biome Balance Cream look like a light gel-ish type cream. I’m also currently finding some difficulties with getting a good moisturizer – you know? Most of the products lately have been a bit stale for me, so my skin was really looking for something new! What better than a cream that has some propolis in it? ;)
Wishtrend reached out in early April about a new brand launching on their website called elmt! Their goal is to “break way from traditional cosmetic cliches and create skincare products with a new perspective.” The packaging is quite different from a lot of the other brands, but is still simple and clean. They sent me the Skin Activating Solution and the Skin Illuminating Solution. Keep on reading if you’re interesting in knowing what my first impressions of these products are.

elmt – Skin Activating Solution
This solution is meant for people who have dehydrated or troubled skin types. The instructions say to use this after cleansing (almost like a toner step). It’s supposed to help boost the antioxidant effect and maximize hydration. I have found this to feel quite refreshed. My skin has felt very dry lately, so any extra bits help. So far, I haven’t had any bad reactions to this product. There is minimal to no scent/fragrance too!
Some notable ingredients in this product – Green Tea extract and Skull cap root extract
elmt – Skin Illuminating Solution
This solution is meant for dull and dry skin – so it’s supposed to improve the over complexion of the skin and make it look more healthy and bright. It’s also applied similarly to the other solution, and you can also pair it with the Skin Activating Solution to maximized improvement effects! I have yet to pair them and see if anything happens with it. This also hasn’t irritated my skin so far and there is minimal to no fragrance.
Some notable ingredients in this product – Niacinamide, grape extra, pomegranate extract
Anyways, as always, thanks for reading and I hope you have a great week!
AXIS-Y reached out again to see if I would be interested in collaborating with them a second-time and since I loved the products that they sent me the first time so much, I couldn’t say no! I was really excited about it, because it was a Gel Mask – I didn’t know what kind of gel-mask I would be getting but anything with “Gel” in it excites me 100%. One thing I liked when reading about the product was that it contains a lot of notable ingredients such as Heartleaf, Niacinamide, Madecassoside, Calendula and Allantoin. Wishtrend recently about a promotion that they were having where they have three different boxes that are currently curated by their staff members. These boxes are called #TeamOily #TeamSensitive and #TeamDry. Wishtrend asked if me to pick a box and share my experiences with these products, so here it is! The box I went for is the #TeamDry box – granted my skin-type is combination (oily and dry) but I found that a lot of the products in the dry box worked really really well for me!

This box has been carefully curated for dry, dehydrated and flaky skin types, but is also great for when your skin gets dehydrated when seasons transition or during the winter!

dear klairs Rich Moist Soothing Tencel Sheet Mask
This mask is their revamped version of the original Rich Moist Soothing Sheet Mask. The packaging of this mask completely changed from what it was before, which also leads me to believe that they may have also revamped the formula of this mask. Tencel is a really great sheet mask material, it’s easy to adhere to the skin and feels light compared to the typical cotton sheet masks. The mask is quite light, and doesn’t dry out quickly like some other sheet masks do.
There are a few key exciting ingredients in this sheet mask: Centella, Ceramides and Aloe Vera.
dear klairs Rich Moist Soothing Cream
This is definitely moisturizing and if your skin is on the more oily side, it will likely feel like you have something on your skin (making it slightly uncomfortable). However, as someone with combination skin, I find this quite comfortable to wear throughout the day even with sunscreen on top after using this moisturizer. Overall, this is a fairly solid moisturizer for the Fall/ Winter months and will definitely make sure your skin doesn’t dry out or get chapped in the cold weather.
dear klairs Fundamental Watery Oil Drop
dear klairs products are always so aesthetic! I really, really wanted to try this product for a long time and I finally got the chance to! It’s super light, and even though it says “oil” drop, I didn’t find this product oily at all. It was surprisingly quite hydrating and light! I think this will be great year-round since it’s not too heavy so you can use it during months when you need lighter weight products, but is also good to have during cold and dry winters.
I’m from Rice Toner
This rice toner is one of their newer products that launched recently! Rice is supposed to help brighten skin, re-balance skin and moisturize it. The toner looks milky, opaque and almost viscous.
I’ve never tried a rice toner before, and most of the toners I’ve been using recently tend to be more on the alcohol-based side of things. I’m trying to move away form alcohol-based toners, but it takes some time since I have quite a few left…I’m not a huge fan of whitening/brightening products, but I’m excited to see how this works in terms of improving elasticity!
By Wishtrend Quad Boosting Essence
This essence is light enough to be layered a few times during dry winter months, but is also great with just one layer. I found this to be hydrating and helped calm my skin a lot – especially parts where I had eczema/dermatitis. It didn’t cause any flare ups for me and is actually helping my skin recover from that eczema phase.
Overall, I was quite pleased with how this product helped keep my skin stay moisturized on top of its soothing effects.
dear klairs Rich Moist Foaming Cleanser
This is one foam cleanser does not strip your skin of its oils. It’s one of the most gentle cleansers I have tried. Only downside is, I don’t think this cleanser does a great job as a second cleanser because I tend to still find residue from my makeup after using this when I use toner or cleansing water with a cotton pad.
I don’t think this deeply moisturized my skin, but it did leave it feeling refreshed and hydrated. I wish I could say more about this, but there isn’t much to say when it comes to a simple day-to-day cleanser that’s not meant anything else other than simply cleansing!
dear klairs Gentle Black Deep Cleansing Oil
They have a quite a few cleansing options for you to choose from at dear klairs. I have tried this one before, I’m not sure if the formula has changed, but I did find the oil texture quite similar to the DHC Oil Cleanser texture (slightly think, slightly heavy. It doesn’t compare to the Shu Uemura oil cleansers, but for the price point, this does do an okay job! I wouldn’t use this to remove make up, as I have had issues with using this to remove make up in the past. But as an everyday oil cleanser, I’d say it’s quite gentle!
Anyways, as always, thanks for reading and I hope you have a great week!
As I’ve mentioned in a few of my posts before, TONERS are so crucial (in my opinion, at least) to the skincare routine. Toners help balance out the skin and prep it for the rest of your routine (similar to how you’d use a primer for make up). I’ve tried my fair share of AHA/BHA toners, and my skin has been sensitive to.. well most of them. I asked to give this one a try to see how my skin reacted and the team at AXIS-Y recommended that I only use this 2-3 times a week (which is what I did!). This post is part of my AXIS-Y review series and is in collaboration with them. If you are interested to know more about this product, keep on reading!
