What makes skincare so interesting is that different countries have different ways of utilizing ingredients and creating products. Recently, Jen from Beautibi was looking for testers for KinGirls and Unitouch masks, and I was lucky to be chosen as one of them! KinGirls and Unitouch are both under the same parent company, Gwo Chyang Biotech Co., Ltd., which is based in Taiwan and is dedicated to creating products that are free of preservatives. You can read a bit more about their parent company’s philosophies here. Beautibi always has unique brands in their stores, although I would say that these masks are on the more expensive side of the spectrum, averaging around $6 per mask. However, it’s nice to learn more and more about the different brands out there. Thank you Jen, Beautibi, KinGirls and Unitouch for this opportunity!
Oil-free gel creams. Oil-free. That’s what attracts me to a large number of products. Since my skin can vary from being normal to mainly combination oily/dry, gel products tend to work best for me. I wrote a post about the KIEHL’s Ultra Facial Oil-Free Gel Cream before, but I haven’t used it long enough to come to a conclusion on how I felt about it at that time. I finished that tub, and now I’m on a much bigger tub.. the 125mL size! Honestly though, skincare products are so hard to test because they require so much time to try out the product, and then having to make sure that what is happening to your skin is actually due to that specific product. whew. Anyways.
This review, has been sitting in my ‘drafts’ for probably half a year already. I’ve had struggles with this because on some days I would ADORE this product, and then a bit later my mind would flip and I would think HM, BUT DO I REALLY? And with that happening for a while, I just can’t write anything about it. But, I’m passed that now. I’ve made a decision. BB Creams were all the rage a few years ago. I remember when I got my first tube of BB Cream from a sales lady in SASA – she recommended this one by BRTC, which I used for longer than I should’ve.. o_o!
When I started my blog a year ago, I also discovered the AB community within IG! And from there, that was how I met Shereen. When I went to Korea 2 months ago, I went to a really, really small ‘global’ meet-up with 4 other lovely people who were also into skincare. Shereen was one of them, and she had only recently started her own business called beautyinhanguk. Now, I knew that coming back from my trip I shouldn’t be ordering anything online… but I just had to.
Back on the grind to find the dream eye patch (just kidding). Honestly, there is nothing in this world that can make any dark circles disappear. But I love using eye patches for some reason because they really help de-puff my eyes in the morning. There are cost-friendly ways to do this too like using cold water.. but I like the added benefit of the off-chance that the eye patches would ever so slightly brighten up my eyes. The eye patches in question are RE:CIPE’s Special Eye Patch Black Bean. I ordered them from Memebox last year, when they still had an online store selling other brands besides their in-house.
When I ordered my first box, which is their Holiday Launch Box, from hellodaint.com, I was really excited because all the items in the box were products that I have never tried before. It was through this box that I learned about the brand Let Her Make-Over and their White Jade Aid sheet masks. The box came with both of the White Jade Aid masks – The Magic Cleansing Mask and The Magic Glutathione Mask. Daint also provides a how-to on their boxes, and with these masks a demo video was linked along with the application method. These masks are meant to be used one after another (a step 1, step 2 kind of thing) – but to be fair, they’re masks so you can generally use them whenever you see fit. I used them on two separate occasions.
Around March I made my first ever purchase from Wishtrend’s Online Store. I have been stalking their site for probably 8 months before I actually made my purchase. I did a lot of price comparisons, looked at different websites that sold the same products before making my decision. That is, until I saw their 20th Wish, Try, Love box. If you manage to stick it out to the end of the post, there is a special little surprise! Well, depending on how you feel about surprises of course.
