I am usually quite skeptical when it comes to dark spot correcting serums, but am always open to trying new things. During quarantine, I found that I’ve been getting quite a bit of “mask-ne” and some of them leave dark marks on my skin so I thought I would give this product a try! This post is part of my AXIS-Y review series and is in collaboration with them. If you are interested to know more about this product, keep on reading!

- Smoothes and brightens skin

Packaging

The serum comes in a tube and has a pump for you to get the product out. It’s a nice form of packaging, the only thing I would say is that when the product is almost out – you would have to cut the end to get the rest of the product in the tube (which is why I’m not usually a fan of tube packaging).

Texture

This serum is quite runny, and light weight. It’s got a water-y gelish texture.
Application

One thing that I found interesting was that on the packaging box, it recommended that you can use this as a sleeping mask at night. I’ve tried it and I didn’t notice too big of a difference. But it was quite hydrating! It’s definitely not the same “strength” as a sleeping mask product, but it’s a great concept that I’ve never considered for serums!
Due to the nature of the texture of this product, it’s very easy to spread this all over the face.
Effectiveness

Overall, I found this to brighten my skin the next day whenever I use it at night. This is a nice serum to use during the day as well as it is quite lightweight! The effects of reducing sun spots, dark spots and acne scars have yet to appear (I have not seen much of a difference in those). I do feel that when it comes to sun spots, dark spots and acne scars, these tend to take a bit longer to go away (depending on your skin type!). So I may need to update this post after I use it for a bit longer than 2 months or so and see if some of my scars have gone away!
