[REVIEW] AXIS-Y New Skin Resolution Gel Mask

AXIS-Y reached out again to see if I would be interested in collaborating with them a second-time and since I loved the products that they sent me the first time so much, I couldn’t say no! I was really excited about it, because it was a Gel Mask – I didn’t know what kind of gel-mask I would be getting but anything with “Gel” in it excites me 100%. One thing I liked when reading about the product was that it contains a lot of notable ingredients such as Heartleaf, Niacinamide, Madecassoside, Calendula and Allantoin. If you’re interested in reading how this product worked, keep on scrolling!

The Good

  • Skin felt hydrated after using
  • Mild fragrance (refreshing scent)
  • Light, refreshing and soothing
  • A little goes a long way
  • Made my skin smooth

The Bad

  • If you leave it on for too long, it can take some time to wash off and make sure everything is off (since it’s a gel mask)

Texture

The texture is very gel-like! It slides a bit if you let a small goop sit on your face as you’re applying the product. It’s got small leafy particles in it, but you don’t really feel them!

Application

I apply a thin layer of gel over my face (a little can go a long way!). Make sure you apply this after you cleanse your face and before using your toners and serums, because you have to wash the mask off afterwards.

There is no set time for how long you can leave the product on for, but you can definitely tell when it’s time to wash it off (in the photo).

Effectiveness

Overall, this was one of the better wash-off mask experiences that I have. Most wash-off masks I’ve used have either been clay, or something that was really hard to wash-off. It felt refreshing and did not irritate my skin – which is a good sign! Sometimes masks can make my skin feel a bit irritated, but I didn’t feel any of that at all. I washed the mask off with a face towel, but you can also do it with just your hands (I left it on for a little too long and was impatient). It might be better to use this right before you shower, so you can wash it off in the shower if wash-off masks aren’t your thing, but you still want to try this! Definitely something that I wouldn’t mind using 2-3 times a week, especially with how easy it is to apply, and how nice my skin feels when and after using it.
